LUDHIANA: The Chief Commissioner of
Income Tax (CCIT) Ludhiana, Binay K Jha on Thursday held a meeting with the top taxpayers and industrialists of Ludhiana to thank them for their tax contribution and shared ideas for further improving tax administration and optimizing the same. All the top industrialists appreciated the efforts made by the I-T department for its green plastic initiative and the
Vertical Garden installed at office of I-T department.
The businessmen lauded the efforts of Jha and his team to install the vertical gardens at other landmarks of the city and their contribution for making the environment clean and green. Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, CCIT Jha said, "This is just a small effort from our side to give it back to the mother earth and also invest for betterment of Ludhiana and its citizens. The vertical gardens are made by using discarded plastic bottles while the drip irrigation system makes it environment friendly and saves water to the extent of 92 per cent. This garden has a positive effect on the air quality and health of residents" The delegation of industrialists expressed interest in setting up these vertical gardens in their factory premises, offices and also committed to making Ludhiana green and clean.
The I-T department on the other hand has assured to extend all technical help to them for setting up the vertical garden in the factories of Ludhiana. Others officials present in this meeting included, Principal Commissioner R.Bhama, Principal director (Investigation) Parneet Sachdev, Principal Commissioner D.S.Choudhary, Joint Commissioner Manav Bansal, Deputy Commissioner Maninder Kaur.
The businessmen include Onkar Singh Pahwa from Avon Cycles, Neeraj Jain from Vardhaman Textiles, SK Rai from Hero Cycles,
Bindu Garg from Rockman cycles, Dinesh Gogna from Nahar Group, Balbir Kumar from Octave Apparels, Madan Lal from King Export,
Rajneesh Sanwalika from Ramtech Software Solutions and Inderjit Bhatia from Ganga Acrowools.
