Suspects steal car from man on 16th Avenue in Rockford

ROCKFORD — Two men stole a gold 2008 Chrysler 300 four-door, which was running in a driveway in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Rockford police said one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded property from the 31-year-old man, who reported he was in the driveway when he was approached by the suspects. There were no injuries.

Both suspects were described as black males, though more details were provided by the victim for only one suspect, who was about 20 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and with a thin build. He was wearing black and white jeans and a dark hooded jacket.
