Francis Coquelin is on his way to Valencia, so who could replace the Frenchman?
Arsene Wenger has confirmed Coquelin will be leaving for Valencia during the January transfer window.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash, Wenger said: “He goes to Valencia, he didn’t get enough games.”
The 26-year-old is expected to join the La Liga club in a £12million deal, having made 105 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since joining in 2008.
With Coquelin on his way out, Arsenal could be looking for a holding midfielder to come in as a replacement this month – although Wenger has identified players within his own squad who could also fill the gap.
