Man Wanted On Child Porn Charges Arrested In Tennessee

A man accused of exchanging inappropriate messages online with a minor in South Dakota has been caught in Tennessee.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that 27-year-old Michel Smith was found in Nashville, TN and arrested by authorities. He has been wanted since November 2017 for possession of child pornography.

Smith is accused of exchanging inappropriate photos with a 13-year-old girl while talking with her on Facebook. According to court papers, a family member found the conversation on a tablet computer and called police.
