The fifteen-membered state election campaign list for Tripura

Agartala: BJP state president Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday, in a statement, announced a fifteen-member state election campaign for Tripura’s coming assembly elections. A notification issued by the state committee today said the campaign committee would be led by state president Biplab Deb.

Congress turned BJP leaders like Sudip Roy Barman and Ratan Lal Nath were co-conveners in the campaign panel. The committee includes a long list of ex Congress leaders including Subal Bhowmik, Jasim Uddin, Ashok Sinha, Jiten Sarkar and others.

Among them, Bhowmik is incumbent state vice president of BJP while Ashok Sinha is spokesperson for the party. The whole campaign Committee consists of 15 members of which eight are new joinees.

Asked if star campaigners would visit Tripura ahead of polls, Biplab Deb said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, I&B minister Smriti Zubin Irani, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal would be among star campaigners of BJP.

Amit Shah visited Tripura and addressed two massive poll rallies at Ambassa and Udaipur on January 07.
