(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Terrorism affected people of Tirah valley of Khyber Agency demanded of the federal government to fulfill its promises and compensate them for their losses.
Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club, elders of tribes from Tirah Valley Naseeb Khan, Sirajuddin and others said that the government has promised a relief package for returning families of the area.
They said that the package included payment of Rs35000 cash to each family and recruitment of 700 persons in Levies Force but three years have passed and the government not fulfilled its commitment.
They added that former governor Shaukatullah had approved Rs160 million and construction of Governor Model School but neither the amount released nor the school constructed.
'The government also promised opening of National Database and Registration Authority office in the area and they have donated land for it but it too proved a hollow promise,' they said.
Sirajuddin told Tribal News Network that there were hundreds of people who could not get their compensation amounts, adding that the government should construct a school, hospital and other facilities in the area.
