Alex Alicea, 24, was charged with driving while intoxicated and drug possession, while Daniela Jimenez-Manzo, 37, a passenger in Alicea's car, was charged with obstruction of justice after the 4:13 a.m. incident, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said.
Alicea was also issued three additional summonses for motor vehicle violations -- reckless driving, failure to maintain lanes and refusal to take a breathalyzer test. Alicea and Jimenez-Manzo were both released.
Thefts at LA Fitness probed
Secaucus police investigating multiple reports of thefts at a gym in town detained a gym employee after he was found to have an outstanding warrant on Jan. 3. The 28-year-old LA Fitness employee had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $250.00 from Cliffside Park. No arrests were made in the thefts case.
3 charged with outstanding warrants
On Jan. 2, police arrested a Union City man who they say was walking in lanes of traffic, Miller said. The 27-year-old had three outstanding warrants totaling $424 from Keyport, Jersey City and Weehawken.
On Jan. 3, police pulled over a 30-year-old Palisades Park woman and found that she had two outstanding warrants in the amount of $608 from Palisades Park. The woman was also issued summonses for an unregistered vehicle and driving while her license was suspended.
On Jan. 3 during a traffic stop police found that a 47-year-old Jersey City woman had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $389 from Bridgewater. The woman was also issued four motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of view, driving while suspended, registration suspended and uninsured vehicle.
