IIT professors amazed at increasing users of their site promoting Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta

Professors at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur are surprised as researchers and scientists worldwide have registered themselves on the 10 years old website of IIT Kanpur. The years old website made by researchers at IIT Kanpur transliterate traditional knowledge like Bhagavad Gita, ‘Ved’ and other content in many languages through usage of latest technology. The Bhagavad Gita, which is in Sanskrit and written in Devnagri script, can be transliterated in many local languages which can increase its access to people. According to Professor T.V. Prabhakar, the usual subscribers remain 500-600 but since October last year a user posted the site ‘Shabd’ which went viral after which its users increased to at least 24,000 per day.
