Missing 16-year-old Onamia girl returns home

The 16-year-old Onamia girl who went missing from her home Nov. 11 was found.

The Aitkin County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday Alexis Elling returned home and is safe. Elling is known to leave for short periods of time, but always stayed in contact with her mother, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reported. In this past case, no one heard from her since she left and authorities sent out a Minnesota Crime Alert for a missing person .
