The Houghton Lake Community Schools Board of Education will now be led by former Vice President Julie Brown.  The board elected officers at its orga­nizational meeting Jan. 8.  Treausurer Kelly Christian made the motion to elect Brown and the motion carried 6-1, with former President Tom Dean casting the only no vote.
