Jennifer Lopez Will Return to Will & Grace with a Bizarre Twist

Jennifer Lopez is returning to Will & Grace, but this time she's pulling double duty.

According to TVLine, the actress and singer will guest star in an episode this season as both herself and her Shades of Blue character Det. Harlee Santos. No additional details have been released about this bizarre crossover, but we're holding out for a Parent Trap or Big Business moment between the two characters.

Lopez previously appeared as herself in the Season 6 finale to sing at Karen (Megan Mullally) and Lyle's (John Cleese) wedding. When one of her backup dancers was injured after slipping on a cocktail shrimp, she invited Jack (Sean Hayes) to go on tour with her. Their partnership didn't last long, however, but the two became good friends and she even helped him land another gig as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson.

Will & Grace and Shades of Blue were renewed for a second and third season, respectively, leaving the door wide open for other bizarre crossovers.

Will & Grace Is Now 0 for 29 at the Golden Globes

Will & Grace airs Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC. Meanwhile, Shades of Blue is slated to return sometime in 2018.
