Newpound Common crash: Baby girl killed and boy, 5, left with serious head injuries
A BABY girl was killed and a young boy suffered life threatening head injuries in an horrific car crash.

The seven-month-old girl was taken to rushed to hospital but sadly died two hours later.
A five-year-old boy in the car was airlifted to hospital in London following the crash where he remains in a critical condition.
Police are now appealing for information about the tragic crash at Newpound Common, near Wisborough Green in West Sussex.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the B2133 at Newpound at 4.17pm on Wednesday (January 10) where a Mazda3 and a Vauxhall Corsa had been involved in a collision.

Both were passengers in the Mazda.
A 27-year-old woman passenger suffered serious leg injuries and was also taken to hospital in London.
The driver, a 31-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. Police said the occupants are from Pulborough.

The driver of the Corsa, a 36-year-old man also from Pulborough, sustained serious chest injuries and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the vehicles in the area shortly beforehand to report online or call 101 quoting Operation Gilford.
The road was closed for six hours while rescue, recovery and collision investigation work took place.
