Warriors forward Kevin Durant will be on a minutes restriction Wednesday night against the Clippers.

“The main thing is, what (team trainer) Chelsea (Lane) told me was she didn’t want him coming in and out of the game a lot,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “She wanted him to go on a good, solid run, come out and have a rest, then be able to know when he’s going back in. So, we’ve got a pattern planned. … I’ll just say that he’s not going to be going in and out randomly.”

Durant tweaked his calf in the first quarter of Wednesday’s win over Dallas, but played through it and finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four blocks in 38 minutes.

He woke up Thursday with soreness before being sidelined for the Warriors’ wins over the Rockets, Clippers and Nuggets. After getting re-evaluated Wednesday morning, Durant was cleared to play against the Clippers. He needs only 25 points to reach 20,000 for his career.

“He can do anything he wants,” Kerr said. “He’s one of those rare players who has an answer for everything.”
