Following Salman Khan‘s recent appearance in Jodhpur court in connection with the black buck case, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has reportedly threatened to kill Salman Khan. The threat came a day after Salman’s court case, when the gangster in question was produced before the same court amidst heavy security. Consequently, a dozen policeman reportedly barged in to sets of Salman’s upcoming film Race 3, at Film City on Tuesday, to inform the actor and the film’s team that a group of armed men had entered the shoot premises. Salman was then reportedly safely escorted by the policemen to his residence in Bandra.
The gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly been charged with multiple cases against him, such as that of murder, car- jacking, extortion among others. The reason behind his sudden threat is that he is said to belong to a community in Rajasthan, which worships the black buck. In line of the latest developments in the case, which is turning out to be in favour of Salman, several members of the community protested against the actor in Rajasthan. Even though Salman had earlier felt that he would be safer in Mumbai than Rajasthan, the recent incident clearly shows that it isn’t true. Reportedly, a group of vandals have been deployed to create mayhem around his shooting location to disrupt the schedule. After the recent threat to Salman, the Mumbai police has issued an additional security to the actor.
Post the police barging in the sets of Race 3, Salman was escorted in another car by six cops, while another group of cops drove back his own car to his residence. A source was quoted telling Mumbai Mirror that the actor has been told to remain low and not share his location on social media. The threat is reportedly still there, and thus the actor has been banned from riding the cycle as well. Salman an his Race 3 co-star Jacqueline Fernandez are likely to shoot a steam dance sequence next week. A senior police inspector revealed to the leading tabloid that the is not the first time that Salman Khan or a member of his family has been threatened. “The actor is often spotted about town without security or even his bodyguard, Shera, but anticipating an unprecedented attack, he has been asked to be extra safe. The police are taking Bishnoi’s threat seriously but we have assured Salman that he will receive maximum police protection. We are also investigating the motive behind Bishnoi’s threat to Salman. ” On the other hand, Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that the security has been strengthened on the sets of the film following the recent incident.
