BANGALORE: After a 7-city wide launch, Zoomcar’s bicycle sharing service PEDL has kicked off at IISc, Bangalore with an aim to provide a convenient and eco-friendly option for short trips around the city.

PEDL has deployed over 100 cycles at the campus, serving the local use cases for students and professors such as moving around the campus for short distance tasks.

"Since the launch, we have achieved over three lakh plus rides across 7 cities," says CEO and co-founder of Zoomcar, Greg Moran. "PEDL strongly compliments our core car sharing service as we continue to make a meaningful contribution to air quality improvement across Indian cities," he adds.

Already located in HSR Layout, Koramangala and now at IISc, PEDL will also be available at other universities as well as other neighborhoods in Bangalore with almost 10,000 plus cycles in the near future.

The service is currently available at Re 1 for 30 minutes.
