Alison Hammond has made a name for herself on the ITV show with her quirky style of interviewing capturing audiences’ hearts around the world. 

The 42-year-old has revealed to Express.co.uk that she is desperate to speak to the actress, 63, but has only ever been given one opportunity which was snatched from her. 

Alison confessed: “I was given the chance to interview [Oprah] but it got pulled. Three days later I saw Lorraine [Kelly] interviewing her and I cried my eyes out. 

“I love everything about that woman and for me to nearly get an interview with her, I cried, and that’s the only time I was really bothered about not interviewing someone. 

“It wasn’t about the fact [Lorraine] did a bad job - it was a really good interview - I just so wanted to be there at that moment. 

“I was devastated,” she admitted. 

However, Alison could be about to interview one of the hottest couples in the land - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. 

The former Big Brother contestant joked that she would “do a sit down interview” with the loved-up pair should she ever be asked.
