The three-day 21st State convention of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) concluded here on Wednesday with passing of several political resolutions on different issues.
The resolutions include launching of a signature campaign for constitution of a tribunal to resolve the Mahanadi water dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh, provision of social security for the unorgansied workers with minimum wages of Rs 18,000 per month.
On the occasion, Ali Kishore Patnaik was unanimously elected as the party’s State secretary for the second consecutive term. CPM national general secretary Sitaram Yechury had attended the meeting.
