Remember Big Brother winner Nadia Almada? She's had a major career change

BIG Brother usually gifts us with an iconic character each series, alongside moments that we'll never forget.

Back in 2004, was the first transgender person to appear on and win , and was easily the stand-out star of the show.

While competing in the fifth series of the reality TV series, she kept her transgender identity a secret from fellow contestants, however viewers were informed.

After 71 days in the house, Nadia emerged as the winner after securing 74% of the overall vote and won a huge £63,500.

At the time, Big Brother presenter Davina McCall said Nadia was her favourite housemate of all time.

    After leaving the house, she went on to record a single called A Little Bit of Action, and it reached No 27 in the UK Singles Chart.

    She also appeared in Hollyoaks to turn on the Christmas lights, and entered the Australian version of the BB house while visiting the three finalists during week 14.

    In August 2010, Nadia re-entered the Borehamwood bungalow during Ultimate Big Brother, however her second stint didn't go down so well.

    The reality starlet immediately lost fans when she told Josie Gibson – who had just won the eleventh series – that her boyfriend John James Parton didn't really like her.

      Josie left via the fire exit just 48 hours later, and Nadia was blamed.

      She also had huge rows with Coolio and ranted in the Diary Room "it's either him or me!", with the singer leaving shortly after.

      On day 8 of the mega series, Nadia was nominated and evicted with 33.3% of the public vote, alongside Makosi Musambasi on day 11.

      Now, the 39-year-old from Portugal is working as a hair stylist in London.

        EFFORTLESSLY CHIC: Nadia re-entered the house for Ultimate Big Brother

        A scroll through the official Nadia Almada Instagram account reveals her career has gone from strength to strength, and she regularly posts updates on her life.

        Her Facebook account also explains that she's working as a hair colour specialist and recently completed a course at the Sassoon Academy.

        Nadia is now rocking a short, chic bob with a heavy fringe and looks effortlessly stylish.
