The first regional round of the fifth session of "Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef-2018" was held in Chittagong on Tuesday.
This year, 82 participants took part in the competition. In the first round, judges asked questions and scrutinised the skills of the contestants. Of the participants, 29 were selected for the second phase.
In the second phase, the contestants prepared food by using ingredients provided by the judges. Finally, two participants -- Nida Ahmed and Moshiur Rahman -- won the Super Chef apron and qualified for the central round to be held in Dhaka.
The next regional round is set to kick off at Shonar Bangla Community Centre in Sylhet today. Participants had been asked to show up at 8:00am. Organisers said participants can get registered at the venue.
