A Thane-based woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by her spurned husband in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area on January 7. Police said that the man, Parminder Basoya, had cheated the complainant. “He was already married. Moreover, he used to beat, mentally torture her, physically let his friends abuse her for money,” said a senior officer.
Based on the woman’s complaint, a case has been registered under IPC sections 376 B (Sexual intercourse by husband upon his wife during separation), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt.) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation). The incident took place at Panchsheel Vihar area.
Police on Tuesday said that another FIR has been registered against Parminder Basoya at Vasant Vihar police station. in this matter, he was allegedly stalking a married woman and threatening to kill her child. He even sent her lewd text messages.
As per the FIR lodged by the woman, she had got married to Parminder Basoya in 2009. However, in 2016, she had asked for divorce.
“A few months later into the marriage, I got to know that Parminder is already married. He started beating me and forced me to establish physical relations with his male friends and extort money. Despite my resistance, he thrashed me and forced me to do the same.
“In 2016, I applied for a divorce after he forcefully sent me to live with my parents in Mumbai. To add to my woes, he did not agree on divorce and I left my child with him in Delhi.
“On January 6 this year, he called me to Delhi and offered financial help. He called me to a flat in Pancsheel Vihar where, Parminder, drunk, took away my phone and made physical relations with me without my consent. After that he fled. I somehow managed to inform the police control room after which I was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” reads the FIR.
