Cecil Lewis, 90, of Baytown

Mrs. Cecil Lewis 90 of Baytown, passed away on January 3, 2018.

Services will be January 13, 2018 at Sweet Home Baptist Church Hwy 61 Hankamer, Texas. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Whittington Cemetery Hankamer, Texas.

On April 23, 1927, a beautiful baby girl was born to Ralph and Alice Kirkwood in Hankamer. She attended school in Hankamer. She met and married the love of her life Mr. Roy Lewis, Sr. in 1945. To this union six children were born. She was baptized and became a member of John Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was an Usher. She later moved to Baytown, Texas and became a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Frank Davis. She retired after 35 years of service from Winnie Medical Center.

Preceding her in death are her parents: Ralph and Alice Kirkwood, daughter: Margaret Raymond, Grandson: Gary Raymond, Great Grandsons: Joshua Haskins and Denario Williams. Brother: Wilson T. Kirkwood. 3-Son in Laws: Franky Blue, James Raymond, Frank Stevenson and daughter in Law: Roberta Lewis.

Cherishing her memories are daughters, Liza Lewis, Dolly Abraham (Kenneth), Peggy Blue all of Baytown. Barbara Stevenson of Richmond, CA. Son: Roy Lewis Jr. of Anahuac. 18-Grandchildren, 50-Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and Great Great Great Grandchildren. A special Great Great Grandson Dalvin Whittington a host of Nieces, Nephews other family and friends.
