National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was Tuesday, Jan. 9 and Schallert Elementary staff took time to show their appreciation for local law enforcement.
Jim Wells County Sheriff deputies, Alice Police Department, JWC Constables and Alice ISD Security Officers were invited to a luncheon in their honor.
"We are truly blessed in our community to have such outstanding service from our local law enforcement and we wanted to let them know that they are appreciated,” said Principal Dr. Stephanie Ashworth. "Hosting lunch and honoring them is a small token of our appreciation as they put their lives on the line daily for our safety."
Schallert Elementary students made banners thanking local law enforcement for their hard work and dedication in serving the community.
