LAKSHMIPUR: Police detained five men, who used to operate impersonating as members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police, while they were conducting a robbery using a fake pistol in Sadar upazila of Lakshmipur on Tuesday night (January 9).
The detainees are identified as Akash, Shahadat, Ali Raz, Nazir Molla and Selim. All of them are hailing from Savar area.
Lakshmipur sadar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Lokman Hossain told Banglanews that they were detained in a drive conducted in Berirmatha area of sadar upazila. Moreover, police also seized two vehicles, a private car and an auto-rickshaw, used for robbery activities.
