The bodybuilder, who’s best known for playing Hunter on the sports entertainment gameshow, told the Loose Women panel that he was in a relationship with the well-known TV doctor, Zoe Williams.

Keen to find out more about the 44-year-old’s love-life, panellist Saira Kahn asked the star whether he’d been keeping fit with his ITV star girlfriend.

The Apprentice runner-up probed: "We know what motivates you. But do you work out with your very famous girlfriend? Tell us about her.”

James replied: ”Zoe is the doctor on This Morning.”

Explaining that Dr Zoe also appeared on the hit ITV show, he added: "She used to be a Gladiator. She was one of the new breed.

"Gladiators came back on Sky about eight years ago."

Zoe starred as Amazon back in 2009, replacing Sharon Davies who had played the character until she left the series in 1997.

The doctor appeared as a Gladiator on the Sky 1 programme while working for the NHS in Newcastle.

Revealing that the pair don’t tend to train together due to work commitments, James spoke of her fitness, saying: “She’s a natural freak with her genetics and naturally very fit."

Speaking about the couple’s gym-honed physiques, presenter Nadia Sawalha started: “You must just both be naked all the time.”

The panel fell about at her comment, while the cheeky gladiator answered: “Apart from that [during a workout] we are naked all the time.”
