NOIDA: The Noida Authority on Tuesday said that it has hired a private company to segregate waste and dispose it off from the temporary dumping site.

The company will work on trial basis for one month and if the model to neutralise waste is successful, it will be adopted by the Authority, said officials.

According to officials, the work will commence within a week. "We have hired a company on trial basis," said R K Mishra, additional CEO (ACEO), Noida Authority.

"This company will handle all the waste that is being collected by us from different sectors of the city and taken to the temporary dumping ground. There they will not only segregate the waste but also dispose it off. This will ensure residents of the city do not have to face the problem of dealing with the garbage," said Mishra.
