Cold-hit patients on the rise in Bogra

BOGRA, Jan 9: After the week-long cold spell, the temperature has slightly increased in the district. With it, the number of patients with cold-related diseases has also increased.
People, especially the children and the elderly persons, are getting admitted to different local hospitals with cold-related diseases daily.
On-duty doctor at the diarrhoea section of Mohammad Ali Hospital Dr Rumana Sharmin said, "A total of 20 child patients affected with diarrhoea have been admitted to my section. Many of them have returned home after taking treatment. The elderly people are generally getting affected with breathing problems. They have been given nebuliser."
Today's lowest temperature in the district was 7 Celsius and it was 5.5 Celsius on Monday.
Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Wadud said at least 123 medical teams have been working in the district to tackle the situation.
