Visvesvaraya Technological University presented an honorary doctorate to ISRO chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar at the university’s 17th annual convocation in Belagavi on Tuesday.
In a short speech, Dr. Kiran Kumar said he was accepting the honour on behalf of ISRO. It is indeed a privilege to receive such an honour, he said. Mahendra and Mahendra chairman Anand Mahendra was awarded an honorary doctorate in absentia.
Governor and Chancellor Vajubhai R. Vala handed over the citations.
AICTE chairman Anil Sahasrabudhe, Vice-Chancellor Karisiddappa, Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayaraddi, and others were present on hte occasion.
