Nigeria gains over 931,000 internet users in November

The number of internet users in Nigeria in November increased by 931,369 to 94.82 million from 93.99 million in October 2017, according to a report from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). It said Airtel, MTN and Glo gained more internet subscribers during the month, while 9mobile was the big loser. MTN gained 428,596 users, increasing its subscriber base in November to 33.43 million from 32.99 million in October.

It showed that 9mobile lost 180,044 internet users in November, decreasing its subscriber base to 11.41 million from 11.59 million in October. Airtel gained the most with 632,506 new users, taking its base to 23.07 million from 22.44 million users in October. Globacom gained 50,311 users in November as the figure recorded was 26.91 million against 26.86 millionin October.
