Reports say that first ‘aahuti’ will be made by the Prime Minister whereas, the party president, Amit Shah will attend the yagya for all seven days.

Ministers, chief ministers from BJP-ruled states, MPs and other BJP leaders are expected to attend the yagna. Some sources say that the BJP is considering inviting President Ram Nath Kovind to attend the event who is likely to make the last ‘aahuti’.

During the ‘Rashtra Raksha Yagna’, the BJP is likely to appease ‘Baglamukhi’ devi who is believed to bless devotees with the power and ability to win in war of words.

As per the blueprint of the event, a total of 50,000 people will offer prayers daily. Apart from this, cultural shows will be conducted every evening in a bid to keep the participants engaged. Moreover, seating arrangement for 15-20,000 is likely to be created.

The Lok Sabha elections are expected around April-May next year.

Earlier on Tuesday, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who had tied up with the Congress for the Assembly elections in 2017, said his priority was strengthening the party organisation and he was not thinking of an alliance ahead of the “crucial” 2019 general elections.
