A man barricaded himself into a Lone Tree hotel room on Tuesday before surrendering about an hour later.
The incident at the Towne Place Suites, 10664 Cabela Drive, started at about 7 p.m., according to police.
Lone Tree PD is currently responding to an incident at @TownePlace Suites by Marriott on Cabela Dr. As a precautionary measure, hotel has been evacuated. We will continue to update you as more details becomes available. Meanwhile, please avoid area as this is an active scene.

As a precautionary measure, the hotel was evacuated. The public was asked to avoid the area as the incident unfolded. The Douglas County Regional SWAT team was called to the scene to help negotiate a surrender.
The suspect was taken into custody just before 8 p.m., and no one was injured.
Police did not immediately say why the man barricaded himself into the hotel room.
