When things were not settling down, Lavanya went up to the principal to complain and submitted a letter in this regard. However, no action was taken by the school authorities against the accused.



Facing humiliation, the girl set herself ablaze on January 2.

The girl succumbed to injuries on Sunday night at the city's Gandhi Hospital.

A suicide note was recovered from the spot where she named the accused, a juvenile, who have been taken into custody. Police also received a copy of the complaint letter. Further probe is underway.
