LITCHFIELD — Rockford scored a bucket in the final five seconds to edge Litchfield 50-48 on Tuesday at Litchfield High School.

Litchfield, now 9-4, got 17 points, six rebounds and four steals from Laney Huhner, and Sydney McCann had 12 points, six boards and five assists.

Kamri Driver finished with 11 points.

The Dragons play at Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7 p.m. Friday.

The battle between Dreiers trended younger this year. Annandale head coach Matt Dreier earned the win over father Mike and the New London-Spicer Wildcats Tuesday night with a powerful defensive effort.

The Cardinals kept the Wildcats to 35 points and scored 48 of their own, including 20 from Hannah Purcell, to earn the win.

New London-Spicer will head back home for a battle with Rockford Friday.
