1. Reduce the intake of salt

2. Increase your water intake



Drink at least 8 glass of water every day to ensure you are flushing out excess salt in the bloodstream, also allowing the release of retained water. In fact, mild dehydration may also be one of the causes of water retention. So make sure your body is well hydrated at all times.

3. Engage in at least 30 minutes of exercise



Engaging in any form of exercise daily for at least 30 minutes will help you reduce water weight and how. Exercise causes you to sweat in order to maintain a normal temperature. Sweating may also withdraw substances like sodium, through the pores, out of the body, helping you lose tremendous amount of water weight. So make sure you are indulging in some or the other physical activity.

4. Get adequate sleep
