The movie padmavat finally managed to get U/A certificate from CBFC. As per the reports certain modifications were required but, 300 cuts were never demanded by the censor board.
Denying reports that a modification suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification resulted in 300 cuts in ‘Padmavati’, CBFC Chairman Prasoon Joshi said it is absolutely untrue. He added, “CBFC’s process is complete… Let’s refrain from utilizing CBFC’s name unnecessarily.” Prasoon also said the film has already been submitted with the five modifications that the Board suggested previously.

It has been reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali the director of the movie was asked to exclude all the references to Chittorgarh, Delhi and Mewar from the film Padmavat. There was a rumor/buzz that the modifications in movie resulted 300 cuts which is not true.The name of the movie has been changed to Padmavat from padmavati as per the CBFC’s Instructions.

The movie Padmavat starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will be telecasted on 25th January, 17 but, Rajasthan government banned the movie in Rajasthan State hence, it will not be released.
