Mystery man with 'manicured eyebrows' in intensive care after being bashed in Launceston

Police are trying to identify a man who was seriously assaulted in Launceston early on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Naroo Street and the Tasman Highway Waverley at about 1:30am where they found a male, believed to be aged between 30 and 40, with serious head injuries.

He is now in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of the Launceston General Hospital, with numerous fractures to his face and abrasions to his body.

Police said the man was Caucasian, with auburn receding hair, and had "manicured eyebrows".

He was wearing jeans, a black tank top and no shoes.

Detectives have been unable to establish his identity or establish the circumstances that led to his injuries, and are seeking information from the public.
