The school children were also acquainted with CG air assets viz Dornier, a fixed wing aircraft used for maritime reconnaissance & surveillance and Chetak, a rotary wing aircraft used mainly for search & rescue operations.
According to a press release here, the aim of the event was to provide a platform for the bright minds to colour their imagination on various themes such as 'ICG- A Saviour', ICG- Omnipresent' and 'ICG- We Protect'.
Professors from reputed colleges- Senguttuvan from fine arts college and Meenakshi Madhan and Christina Shaju from Stella Maris College- were invited to as judges for all three categories. Renuka Raj, vice-president, CGWWA (East) gave away prize to the winners.
G Monisri, a class four student of Dr Vimla Convent Matriculation School, Nanganallur, won the first prize in the first category. S Varsha of the same school came first in the second category and A S Akash of Modern Senior Secondary School in the third category.
