EAST MOLINE — The Galesburg High School boys swimming and diving team was edged by United Township 98-88 on Tuesday.
Drew Giles had a first-place time of 1:57.3 in the 200 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.6 and Zach Cantwell touched the wall first in the 200 IM in 2:17.48 and the 100 freestyle in 54.93 to lead the Silver Streaks.
Galesburg finished 1-2 in the 500 free with Tommy Williams taking first in 5:38.07 and teammate Jared Shipp in second in 5:47.74.
The Streaks also took first in the 400 free relay (Shipp, Cantwell, Lorenzo Moreno, Giles) in 3:39.39.
