Ashton Singleton finished with 24 points, seven assists and five steals Tuesday, helping John Carroll Catholic High School's boys basketball team defeat Benjamin 77-65 in a District 5-4A game at Palm Beach Gardens. 

Raul Guevara added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for John Carroll (10-3, 3-2 district), which won its fourth consecutive game.

Vondravious Sands had 14 points.

Alex Vogelsong scored 21 points for Benjamin (9-6, 4-1), which lost its fifth consecutive game despite finishing with 11 3-pointers. Jordan Travis had 18 points.

John Carroll Catholic plays Boca Raton Christian in a Sunshine State Athletic Conference tournament game Friday at Jupiter Christian.

Port St. Lucie 66, Suncoast 64: Daniel King had 14 points and eight rebounds as the Jaguars upset the Chargers in a District 15-6A game at Port St. Lucie.

Nate Davila added 13 points and eight assists for Port St. Lucie (7-8, 2-1 district). Jakobi Davis also scored 13 points.

Jacobe Cox scored 13 points for Suncoast (10-3, 2-1). Isiah Edden and McClonby Gafford added 12 points apiece.

Martin County 83, St. Lucie West Centennial 70: Matt Davis scored a game-high 21 points as the Tigers won a District 8-9A game at Centennial.

Jordan Kitchen added 14 points for Martin County (9-4). Jero Brown and Joshua Charles had 11 apiece.

Elijah Phillips scored 16 points for Centennial (6-6). Trequan Collins and Bernie Moore had 11 points apiece.

Centennial hosts Fort Pierce Central at 7 p.m. Friday.

Fort Pierce Central 54, South Fork 45: Darvion Blackshear had 15 points, four rebounds and three assists as the Cobras improved to 9-4.

Malik Lindsey just missed a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Central coach Chris Maxon said the Cobras used a box-and-one defense to limit South Fork leading scorer Caleb Edwards to a season-low six points.

Miles Davis scored 19 points for the Bulldogs.

Fort Pierce Central hosts P.K. Yonge on Wednesday.

Master's Academy 83, St. Andrew's Episcopal 30: Luke Wright had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Patriots won a District 6-2A game in Vero Beach.

Wright also had six steals and five assists for Master's Academy (7-4), which led 52-18 at halftime.

Drew Wright hit all four 3-point shots and finished with 20 points.

Kyle Schramm scored 12 points for St. Andrew's (0-8, 0-7).

Master's plays at 7 p.m. Thursday at Merritt Island Christian.

St. Edward's 62, Trinity Christian 39: Brandon Succes scored 24 points in the Pirates' District 7-3A win in Vero Beach.

Andrew MacIntyre had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for St.Edward's (5-6, 2-2 district).

Aytor Alberto scored 24 points for Trinity Christian (3-8, 0-3).

St. Edward's plays Berean Christian on Friday in a Sunshine State Athletic Conference South Region playoff at Jupiter.

Community Christian 46, The Pine School 40: Jared Foster scored 21 points as the Cougars withstood a barrage of 3-pointers from the Knights to win a District 6-2A game at Anderson Middle School.

Community Christian (5-7) outscored Pine 24-2 in the fourth quarter to erase a 15-point deficit.

Noah Kalter made six of Pine's nine 3-pointers and finished with 20 points.

Community plays Friday at Master's Academy. Pine plays Thursday at Covenant Christian.

Florida Prep 84, Morningside Academy 12: Trenton Martin scored 10 points in the Eagles' District 6-2A loss at Morningside.

Morningside (3-8) hosts St. Andrew's Episcopal on Thursday.

Lincoln Park Academy 78, Jensen Beach 48: Leroyeisha Thomas had a double-double with 19 points, 10 steals and five assists in the Greyhounds' win in Fort Pierce.

Christen McCann had 21 points and five steals for Lincoln Park (12-3).

Deborah Reese had nine points, 19 rebounds and five steals while Shikinah Williams scored 11 points.

Hope Donow had 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two assists for Jensen Beach (7-4). Jakya Taylor had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Kiara Turgeon had eight points, six steals, four rebound and four assists. Ja'Shya Christie had six points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Jensen Beach hosts Martin County on Wednesday.

St. Edward's 48, Trinity Christian Academy 47: Maya Jenkins had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Pirates at Vero Beach.

Tea Tee added 14 points and three steals while ZIon Atwater just missed a double-double with nine points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.

Mariel Lopez had 20 points and Mel Garbarsky had 17 for Trinity Christian (1-9).

Yeshiva 36, John Carroll Catholic 23: Latoya Tanelus had eight points, seven rebounds and three steals in the Golden Rams' District 5-4A loss on Howard Avril Court in Fort Pierce.

Madison Miller had six points, six rebounds and three steals for John Carroll (7-4, 2-3). Cami Bates had six rebounds and two steals, while CeCe Altenor and Destiny Anderson had seven rebounds apiece.

John Carroll plays Life Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference tournament at Somerset Key.

Fort Pierce Westwood 68, South Fork 56 (Monday): Janasia Jean had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Panthers in Fort Pierce.

Lovena Edmond added 18 points and Rayna Duzant added 10 points and seven rebounds for Fort Pierce Westwood (6-7). Zaria Watkins also scored 10 points.

Sha'Niya Masando scored 19 points for South Fork (1-11). Rodasha Clemon had 15 points and Katelyn Aguirre 14.

Junior college basketball

Indian River 112, Miami Dade 75: Kimani Binder led a balanced offense with a game-high 22 points as the Pioneers won their Southern Conference opern at Miami.

Cedric Jackson and Kevin Grace added 17 points apiece for Indian River (14-5, 1-0 conference), which is ranked seventh in the latest coaches state poll.

Deontae Weaver had 16 points and Shaq Rombley had 14.

DJ Russell scored 15 points for Miami Dade (11-8, 0-1).

Indian River hosts Palm Beach at 7 p.m. Jan. 16.

Boys soccer

Vero Beach 2, Okeechobee 2: Amilcar Alvarado and Bayne Hagood scored one goal apiece as the Fighting Indians and Brahmans played to a draw at Okeechobee.

Bennet Collins and Paul Hassell had the assists and Dominic Hall made three saves for Vero Beach (5-4-2).

Okeechobee is 9-2-1.

Vero Beach hosts St. Lucie West Centennial on Friday.

South Fork 1, W.T. Dwyer 0: Alex Barker made seven saves for his third shutout as the Bulldogs won a District 13-4A game at Palm Beach Gardens.

Edgar Perez scored on an assist from Emmanuel Andres for South Fork (9-2-1), which won its sixth consecutive game.

Coach AJ Diaz praised the defensive play of Sasha Fiumara, Jack Ungerland, Daniel Alvarez and Obilio Vasquez.

The Bulldogs have outscored opponents 34-10 in 12 games.

Pine School 8, Master's Academy 0: JJ Lacorte had two goals and two assists as the Knights won at Vero Beach.

Christopher Textor and Ethan Heitner had one goal and one assist apiece for Pine School (6-3-2).
