After the phenomenal success of Golmaal Again last Diwali, and news of Sajid Khan and Akshay Kumar collaborating once again for the fourth installment of Housefull, there are reports of the Dhamaal franchise coming together to kick-starting the shooting for its third instalment, Total Dhamaal, today. The original cast of the film comprising Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery, Riteish Deshmukh and Ashish Chowdhury along with some new actors like Ajay Devgn, Boman Irani, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor will reportedly feature in Total Dhamaal.

Today morning, the film officially went on the floor with the entire star cast present at Filmcity Mumbai. Aamir Khan who has worked with filmmaker Indra Kumar, the director of the upcoming comedy caper, gave the mahurat clap for the film. The Bollywood superstar graced the sets on the very first day and enjoyed a nostalgic moment with Madhuri, Ajay and Anil. It was rather sweet of him to take off time from his Thugs of Hindostan shoot and be present on the sets with the Total Dhamaal team. He has worked with Madhuri, Anil and Ajay on Dil, Mann and Ishq respectively.

Speaking about the first day of shoot Boman Irani told Mumbai Mirror, “It was a traditional mahurat ceremony, something I haven’t seen in a long time. During this schedule which goes on until January 14, the opening sequence will be filmed after which we move out of the city to shoot from February to April.” Madhuri took to her Twitter profile to share a picture with Ajay and Anil from the sets of the film. She wrote, “Worked with each one of them individually and now we all come together for #totaldhamaal…look forward to the fun times”. Take a look at the pics of the team from earlier today.
