PM asks police to take uncompromising stand against drug

Lying emphasis on working unitedly to kick out militancy from the country, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has now urged the members of police force to take a stern and uncompromising stand against drugs.

 

The Prime Minister made the call while addressing the high police officials at the international conference centre of Police Staff College on Tuesday, the second day of the Police Week-2018.

 

Praising the law enforcement agencies for their role in eliminating militancy, she said, "Now you (police members) will have to fight against drugs with the same skill and sincerity you've showed for kicking out militancy."

 

The Premier said that drug addiction is destroying lives of talented youths as well their families which is not at all acceptable.

 

Terming drug addiction a dreadful problem like militancy, Hasina also expressed strong voice to tackle the menace.
