Dera supporters had involved in large-scale clashes in Panchkula and Sirsa following the CBI court on August 25 arrested the Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh of sexual assault.
Ram Rahim has been given 20 years of jail term and a fine of more than Rs 30 lakh. His rape sentence led to aggression in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana, taking lives of 41 people and wounding 260 others. Several incidents of clashes were also come to limelight from Delhi and various places in Punjab.
Prior, the Haryana Cop had lodged 979-page chargesheet against Honeypreet. Ram Rahim’s girlfriend Honeypreet and various other sect functionaries and supporters were arrested on case of agitation, provocative aggression and criminal plot.
