The Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday urged the parliament members to refrain from interventions in recruitment process in the ministries.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony of police cadets in Kabul Police Academy, President Ghani said “I respectfully request from th parliament members not to go to the ministries for the recruitment recommendations.”
He warned that if any MP attempted to refer anyone for the recruitment based on the relations then he will be filmed and the video will be shared through media.
President Ghani further added that he will not sign any appointment under the pressures and insisted that the future appointments should be made only through relevant channels of the ministries.
According to President Ghani, anyone who has been appointed on recommendations has abandoned the battlefield and anyone who has been appointed on bribes has committed robberies, emphasizing that this process is no longer acceptable to the people.
In the meantime, the minister of interior Wais Ahmad Barmak said a new four-year strategy has been prepared for the ministry of interior.
He said the strategy will cover two phases, including the strengthening and development of the police forces and organization structure development of the ministry of interior.
Barmak further added that the newly graduated police officer will be recruited in the minister of interior.
