JACKSON TWP.  Local author Maud O. Banks will read excerpts from her second book, "Charlotte's World," at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson Township branch of the Stark County District Library.

The library is located at the Marketplace at Nobles Pond at 7847 Fulton Drive NW.

The event is free, but seating is limited.
