BARISAL, Jan 8: President of Charbaria Union Unit of Jatiya Sramik League was hacked by some unidentified miscreants at Kalapatty area in the district town on Sunday morning.
He is Abddus Salam Akon, 54, driver of a human hauler.
He was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).
Locals said a group of unidentified miscreants numbering four to five persons chopped him indiscriminately when Abdus Salam crossing the Port Road at Kalapatty area of the district town, leaving him critically injured. Kotwali police confirmed the matter.
