Minister Dr. Al-Awwad stated that the Cabinet discussed a set of reports on the developments of events at regional and international levels and welcomed, in this regard, the statement issued at the conclusion of the meetings held by foreign ministers participating in the Arab Ministerial Meeting hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss the repercussions of the United States decision to recognize Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as capital of Israel and the statement's confirmation of the centrality of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as a key issue for Arabs, as it is the key to peace in the region which won't enjoy security and stability without a solution to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of the 4th of June 1967 with East Al-Quds as its capital.
The Cabinet also expressed Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strong condemnation of the suicide attack on a mosque in the town of Jambura in northeastern Nigeria, reiterating the Kingdom's rejection of these heinous acts of terrorism.
Dr. Al-Awwad said that the Cabinet was briefed on issues on its agenda and decided the following:

After reviewing the decision of the Shura Council No. (199/65) dated 25/2/1439 H, the Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamic culture and endowments in the Republic of Djibouti in the field of Islamic affairs, signed in Jeddah on 4/9/1438 e.
A royal decree has been prepared.
