The Board of Trustees of the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) is seeking a Director to lead and develop the facilities, including Taiwan Light Source (TLS), Taiwan Photon Source (TPS), Center’s experimental facilities abroad, and scientific programs. The candidate should be a scientific leader with extensive executive experience and ready to provide strategic vision and to secure the funding. Candidates should have outstanding scientific accomplishments with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese. NSRRC is a government funded national research laboratory with its first accelerator TLS made available to researchers since 1993. In 2016, TPS, a 3rd generation 3-GeV light source and one of the world’s brightest synchrotron X-ray sources, opened to users. The facilities serve over 2,300 users annually. In addition, NSRRC is in charge of the operation of two Taiwan beamlines at SPring-8, Japan and a cold-neutron triple-axis spectrometer, SIKA, located at Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), Australia.
