Public middle schools and high schools in Sarasota County will present information about their academic programs and extracurricular activities for interested families at two events, one showcasing south county schools and the other highlighting north county schools. Representatives of the schools will provide information and answer questions.
“We wanted to provide an opportunity for students and parents to explore various schools in one location, to help them find the best fit for their child,” said Superintendent Todd Bowden. “We think these events are a great way to showcase our middle and high schools, so current elementary and middle school families can learn more about the options available to them as they plan for the next step in their children’s education.”
The Showcase events will be held on the following dates at these times and locations: Jan. 16, 5:30-7 p.m., Suncoast Technical College-North Port Conference Center, 4445 Career Lane (Heron Creek Middle, Laurel Nokomis School, Venice Middle, Woodland Middle, North Port High, Pine View School, Venice High, Charter Schools: Imagine School at North Port, Island Village Montessori Middle, Sky Academy Englewood, Sky Academy, Venice Student Leadership Academy).
