UPCOMING AREA EVENTS
Jan. 15-16: The Turtle Thomas Baseball Camp will be held Jan. 15-16 at E.D. White Catholic High School's Boyd Hebert Park. The camp wil be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day and is open for baseball players from the sixth grade to the 12th grade. Participants should bring baseball cleats/tennis shoes, gloves, bats, batting gloves and all appropriate baseball apparel. Catchers should bring all of their catching gear. Campers should bring a bagged lunch and fluids each day. The two-day camp will feature individual hitting and defensive instruction, batting practice on the field and in the cages and base-running drills. The cost to attend is $150 with proceeds to benefit E.D. White's baseball field renovations. The camp is limited to the first 100 participants who signed up.
