Holliston 8 Arch Bridge repairs on hold

HOLLISTON - Construction on the 8 Arch Bridge is on hold.

Repair work was originally expected to take place over the winter, but was contingent on the weather, Holliston Town Administrator Jeff Ritter said.

The bridge, which carries Holliston's recently completed rail trail over the Bogastow Brook, needs repairs and railings. NEL Corporation was hired to do the work for $644,000.

"The Contractor has ordered the pre-fabricated masonry which will be ready to install first thing this Spring," Ritter wrote in an email.

Completion is still scheduled for May 2018, he said.
