In response to The Denver Post’s review for “The King and I” at the Buell Theatre, it is preposterous for the reviewer to give only 2 1/2 stars for the production, calling it “bloated and dated.” Did we see the same performance? Perhaps the only “bloating” involved would be overeating prior to the show. In my opinion, the play was masterfully performed, beautifully executed and, most importantly, thoroughly entertaining.
